BCWMA 2009 Officers
Note: Every year, after our Board of Directors election,
the new board elects officers from their membership to serve for the following year.
President
Don Liska grew up in Karnes City and is a 1985 engineering graduate from TAMU-College Station. He owns a construction company that specializes in building bridges. He owns a ranch in Bee County near Berclair. He also owns a ranch in Webb County and is working with Al Brothers to manage the deer and habitat on this ranch.

Vice President
Randy Walls has been the General Manager of the Guajolote ranch near Skidmore for the past 12 years. He manages their registered Beef Master operation and the ranch wildlife conservation program. Randy has been promoting and using supplemental protein feeding and food plots for at least 10 years on the low fence Guajolote. They are now producing bucks that score in the 170s. He is a Farm Bureau Director and Past Master of Beeville Lodge 261. Randy was elected to his three year board position in 2005.

Secretary - Treasurer
Mary Sklar was elected to the Board at the February 2007 annual meeting, and then elected Secretary-Treasurer by the Board at their next meeting. Mary and her husband own property off Hwy 202 near Beeville, and she lives in Jackson County. She has been a member of the Jackson County WMA for several years. She spent her career as a school teacher, but she is retiring at the end of the 2007 and will be spending more time at the Beeville property.

BCWMA 2009 Board of Directors
Note: Our board of directors has nine members, including the officers identified above. The original director’s terms were staggered so three had one year terms, three had two year terms, and three had three year terms. As a director’s term expires a new director is elected for three years. Terms begin in February each year.
Jim Devlin splits his time between Corpus Christi and the Trinity Ranch located on Hwy 59 in Beeville. He is a graduate of The University of Texas and is a partner in Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC. of Corpus Christi. Devlin is also a Director of Driscoll Children's Hospital and the Art Museum of South Texas. Devlin, his wife Caryl and daughter Genevieve raise commercial cattle, longhorns, miniature donkeys, axis deer, red deer, & black buck antelope on the Trinity Ranch. He is an avid hunter working with neighbors to improve the quality and quantity of game in the area.

Bill Frank is a founding director and charter member. Bill raises cattle on his Hwy 59 and Mineral area ranches. He splits his time between his Beeville ranch and homes in Port Aransas and Alaska. Bill recently completed his initial three year term, and served as Secretary-Treasurer each of those years. He was re-elected to a second three year term in February, 2007.

Jaime Garza has worked for Valero for 20 years and is currently a Lead Operations Technician in Corpus Christi. He owns property in Northwest Bee County in the CR 327 area. He joined the association as a life member two years ago, and has attended almost all BCWMA functions during that time. Jaime is an avid wildlife photographer and hunter.

John Tomerlin received his degree from Texas Tech and spent his working years in the chemical and energy industries, retiring as an officer of Enterprise Products Partners. He is a life member of the BCWMA, a life member of the National Rifle Asociation, and a member of the Houston Safari Club. John and his wife, Jean, base their activities from their home in La Porte, Texas, and own the Diamond T Ranch off Hwy 202 where they have a permit to breed whitetail deer. An avid hunter and fly fisherman, John has hunted in the U.S. and Canada, and fished from Alaska to the Yucatan.
Donnie Montemayor, Ex-Officio Director (non-voting), is the Bee County Extension Agent for Agriculture, and is responsible for agricultural education through the coordination of efforts between the Texas Cooperative Extension, The Texas A&M University System, and the Bee County Commissioners Court. Donnie’s main area of work involves Beef Cattle, Range Management, Row Crops, Wildlife Management, and Community Development.
